Gaja Vittoria Pellizzari - mezzo soprano

Hailed by Online Musik Magazine as an “unbelievably agile soprano”, Gaja Vittoria’s repertoire spans the ages from Baroque to contemporary music and includes both mezzo and soprano roles (Zwischenfach).

Born in Udine (Italy) in 1998, she started her music journey as a violinist and later graduated in Opera (MA) at the “Conservatorio J.Tomadini” (Udine) under the guidance of the soprano Annamaria Dell’Oste.

She is currently based in Vienna and is studying for a Masters degree in “Lied & Oratorium” at the MDW University where she has the opportunity to specialise with KS Krassimira Stoyanova.

Passionate about both operatic and lied repertoire, she has presented themed art song Recitals - in duet with the pianist Alessandro Del Gobbo - such as “DE MULIERIBUS: donne, streghe e sirene” and “Souvenirs d’Europe” in several Festivals, including Carniarmonie, Festival Internazionale di Musica Sacra, Mittelcult and Filosofia in Città.

In 2021 she was part of Rossini in Wildbad Festival’s Academy and sang Despina in a cinematographic version of “Così Fan Tutte” directed by Mauro Trombetta.

In September 2020 she debuted the role of Despina (Mozart: Così fan tutte) at Operastudio Molise and in December 2019 she sung Susanna (Mozart: La Nozze di Figaro) and Pamina (Mozart: Zauberflöte) at Teatro Comunale di Pergine Valsugana (Director: Mauro Trombetta; Conductor: Andrea Fuoli).

In 2019 she performed the role of Norina (Donizetti: Don Pasquale) at the Pocketopera Festival in Gubbio and the role of Giannetta (Donizetti: L'elisir d’amore) in a co-production of Piccolo Opera Festival FVG and the Jerusalem Opera (Director: Enzo Iorio; Conductor: Omer Arieli) and she collaborated at the Panicale Opera Festival as cover for the role of Isabella (Rossini: L’inganno felice) at the Teatro Cesare Caporali (Director: Primo Antonio Petris; Conductor: Patrick David Murray).

She was also selected by Mara Zampieri’s Cantiere all’Opera where she sang in Pergolesi's “La serva padrona”.

Recently she won 3rd Prize at “Seghizzi” Lied competition, “Schiller” Special Prize for Lied at “SOI Fiorenza Cedolins competition” and she was a finalist at “Salice d’Oro” Competition
